Light and Shadow- Take Two

This first photograph was outside using natural light, while in the rest of the photographs I used a spot light and a lace table cloth to create a shadow across Abigail's face. I'm actually suprised that she looks somewhat happy, because I litterally dragged her downstairs to do this, I even agreed to do her chores for her, otherwise she refused to sit pretty. Quite the master mind I must say.

The Ordinary

I found "ordinary" a difficult theme, becuase as photographers we are trying to show the extraordinary in everything. So I desaturated my photographs to create an ordinary, and calm mood.

Qu'est-ce que c'est?

Post Card

The first photograph is of Cheif Mountain, in Alberta, and the second is of Crystal Lake, way out in the middle of no where. Both are amazing places! And clearly gorgeous! I think both of these are post card worthy.

Untitled

I'm not sure what to call this photograph, or what assignment it should fall under, but I love it! I've always loved turtles and this one was a perfect model! He was sunbathing on the edge of the pond found on Brigham Young University campus. So until I find a title for this guy, he remains "untitled".

Mr. Sun

I love spingtime! I snapped these photographs while in in Layton, Utah. These are all good examples of light and shadow, but I plan to do more light and shadow photographs, so these are just a preview. Enjoy!

La Vie en Rouge

Well I had a vision for this weeks photo, but Abigail was unwilling to cooperate, so I ended up trying to pose and be the photographer at the same time, so that vision is still floating around in my head. It's not quite what I had in mind, but I think my red hair and red lips work well together for this weeks theme. Clearly I like the same pose, because this resembles my self portrait photograph.
